Latest updates as polling stations open across the UK for the general election 2024
of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland in 2023. New constituencies have been created, boundaries changed, and 211 out of the 650 seats have been renamed.
The first results are expected to be declared shortly before midnight. By 4am enough results should be in to know which party is on course to win the election and by what margin.
