Despite the W13’s obvious and bouncy flaws, Russell was able to extract a little more performance from it than his teammate Lewis Hamilton, who struggled to adapt early in the season. Consistency and solid race pace was a key pattern in the majority of Russell’s races that helped him on his way to a debut win in Brazil and fourth place in the drivers’ standings.When asked about his goals for 2023, Russell added: “I’m really excited for 2023. I’m still going to be trying to improve my driving, what I do on and off track, and hopefully we’ve got the car beneath us to fight for the championship.
