Georgia Harrison exclusive as she makes history over revenge porn: 'I've been given a voice'
Georgia Harrison made history today as the government announced a change in revenge porn laws, following the jailing of her ex-partner Stephen Bear.
She tells us: "When I look at my own experiences, it's obviously something quite seriously bad that happened to me and I think for a long time, I couldn't really make sense of it. Georgia has since joined numerous campaigns focusing on consent and revenge porn, including Superdrug's You Before Yes, which she spoke about to OK!
She said: "So I've got women messaging me literally on a daily basis, women and men, but mainly women, often it's about themselves, sometimes it will be about a family member and very often it's about their children. Now turning her eye to the lack of education around consent, Georgia tells OK!: "I think a lot needs to be done in society for change. I'm hoping for one that the younger generation will receive more education based around consent and all sorts of sexual matters.
Explaining how the You Before Yes campaign is hoping to enact some change through condom packaging, Georgia says: "I think that's where it's so important that we've got condom packets that now actually have a sign on that say, make sure you have consent.
