Ghana star Thomas Partey pays tribute to the late Christian Atsu by Hindsight4Sport
The Arsenal midfielder lifted his shirt while running back with the ball at 2-1 down, a message that red 'Rest well Christian Atsu' was seen in full after Reiss Nelson's winning goal
Atsu was killed during last month’s earthquake in Turkey and Syria, which has claimed the lives of more than 50,000 people. There had been conflicting rumours concerning Atsu’s status and just days after the earthquake, the Ghana FA issued an update on social media. It said on Twitter“We’ve received some positive news that Christian Atsu has been successfully rescued from the rubble of the collapsed building and is receiving treatment. Let’s continue to pray for Christian.”
