ReMarket has opened in the city centre with a host of big brands up for grabs at a fraction of the price
Vintage clothing has always been a hit with shoppers , but with the ongoing cost of living crisis, second-hand items are more in demand than ever. So it's no surprise that a new shop dedicated to 'preloved fashion and circular items' is causing quite a stir. ReMarket has opened its doors on London Road, nestled between Manchester Piccadilly train station and Piccadilly Markets, and is brimming with rails full of bargain finds.
ReMarket, with its mission to 'reintroduce second-hand items back into the market', was founded by Tony Shum, 24, from Stalybridge, Tameside, who is also the founder of Bare Necessities, and his partner Sophie Jones, 23, from Shrewsbury. Tony, who relied on second-hand clothing while growing up, stated: 'Our venue features eight small businesses, a 300 sq ft pop-up area, and 15 rail spaces for showcasing sustainable and independent brands.
