The invasion of spiders indoors usually starts by September due to the wet weather forcing them out of the cold - and many people can be afraid of the creepy crawlies showing up in their homes.
After a scorching turned wet summer, the time of year has already come around where spiders start cropping up in the nooks and crannies of peoples homes, sheltering from the cold.
It's the movement of the male spiders hunting for a mate that brings them to people's attention, as they leave their hiding places to the open for a little bit of fun with a female. You should avoid killing them, however, as they are extremely beneficial to a home - trapping and clearing out ants, flies and other pests from infesting.
Simply cut some off and sprinkle it in key spider points like windowsills, near doors and dark skirting boards.
