The developer, Pedakil 2, lodged an application to build the complex on 3846 square metres between 73 and 85 Cleveland Street, about 300 metres from the landmark Stones Corner Hotel.As such, the application was deemed “impact assessable”, meaning it was open to public submissions for and against the project.
“ ... There is an established community need for increased height and density. The south-east Queensland region is currently experiencing a housing crisis, with rental and housing stock at an all-time low. Zilli said a World War I-era house at 77 Cleveland Street had already been “lawfully relocated” from the site.
