Giants coach Brian Daboll said RB Saquon Barkley has made 'considerable progress' in the few days since he injured his ankle.
“I’m not saying that out yet. … He’s a quick healer,” Daboll said in his Tuesday news conference. The coach added that the running back has made “considerable progress” in the few days since he injured his ankle in Sunday’s win.“He’s a lot better than maybe I thought he would be or some other thought he would be today,” Daboll said.Barkley’s absence would be a major blow to the Giants, who’ve relied on their star back.
In his absence, Breida is likely to take over the RB1 role with Brightwell as No. 2. It will be interesting to watch how the Giants utilize rookieBarkley had to be helped off the field following the injury and broadcast cameras showed him slam his helmet down in frustration after being examined by trainers.
