Blake Snell exited his start on Sunday against the Yankees with groin tightness.

Snell threw 99 pitches in the game but couldn't escape the fifth inning before making his leave. The injury appeared to occur in the top of the fifth after he threw a pitch to Alex Verdugo. He walked off the field alongside Giants senior director of athletic training Dave Groeschner.The left groin tightness put an early end to what was the 31-year-old's best start of the season.
