After a shaky debut for Daniel Jones, Giants head coach Brian Daboll weighed in.
New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones made his preseason debut on Saturday against the Houston Texans. It was a mixed bag of results for Jones in his first game back after tearing his ACL last season.He started out very slow, throwing two picks early on. This includes an absurdly thrown ball deep in his own endzone that was snagged for a pick-six.
I wanted to make sure we had enough plays where we were throwing it down the field, giving opportunities to throw it down the field. Again, there was some good things, good to get him out here and then a couple things we'll learn from, and that's what these things are for.'But the hope in any preseason game is to make it out without any injury, no matter the results. Jones did just that and spoke about his health after the fact.'I feel good physically,' Jones said.
