New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones spoke to reporters on Thursday and updated his Week 1 status coming off a torn ACL.
New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones has his eyes on a Week 1 return.Jones, who tore his ACL in a Week 11 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders last season, told reporters on Thursday that he plans to be ready for the start of the 2024 season.'I don't have any doubt about it right now,' Jones said.Jones, 26, was drafted No. 6 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft by the Giants.
Jones was asked his thoughts about the Giants potentially taking a quarterback in the first round.'Yeah, I wasn't fired up about it,' Jones said. 'I think it's part of it at this level, like I said. What I can do is focus on myself. Getting healthy and playing the best football that I can play, and that I know I'm capable of playing. That is my job and that is what I'm going to do ... I don't think you can take anything personally at this level.
