BREAKING: Girl, 14, dies after being hit by car as two teenagers are arrested

A 14-year-old girl has died after being hit by a car.

Two men, aged 18 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after the crash in St Helens on Saturday night. Officers were called to reports of a collision with a car and a pedestrian on Blackbrook Road at about 9.50pm. A force spokesman said: ‘Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a 14-year-old girl, was taken to hospital where she sadly died.Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information, CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to contact police on 101.
