A girl who was snatched from her screaming mum’s arms by a ransom gang is found 19 hours later sobbing on a street corner
A SIX-YEAR-OLD girl has been found dumped on a dark street corner 19 hours after being snatched from her screaming mother's arms by four men as she dropped her off at school.
A short while later her dad Wynand, who is a F1 powerboat racer on the international circuit, received a mobile call demanding a two million rand ransom for his daughters safe release. "Everything is okay, she wasn't harmed. She also undergone tests at the hospital, so everything is okay. The family is still very heartbroken, but we are just thankful that she is alive."The first thing she did after being reunited with her mum and dad was ask for a burger and her brother . Angeline is traumatised as is Wynand and it is going to be a long road of recovery for all of them.
He said: "Her photo was all over the internet and the news and we think they thought they were better off cutting their losses and ditching Amy-Lee." ER24 paramedics rushed to the Vanderbijlpark Police Station to assess Amy-Lee’s parents with her mum complaining of shoulder pains after her child was wrenched violently from her arms.Both were stabilised although said to be in shock but needed no further treatment.
