7NEWS: Perth girl who helped sister during seizure emergency had only learnt first aid skills that day

Tia kicked into action straight away and applied the skills she had learnt in the training.

She demonstrated to 7NEWS how she rolled her sister onto her side and checked her airways while her parents called triple-0.“ makes me feel really good. I’m really proud of her,” Bella, 15, said.Perth girl Tia, right, sprang into action when her sister Bella suffered a seizure.Their parents say their little girl’s composed response in the emergency was a “proud moment”.

They believe also that if it wasn’t for Tia’s quick thinking Bella could have been in serious danger. “If wasn’t in the same room as Tia we wouldn’t have heard anything at all,” mum Tamara Cummins said.
