The woman who escaped from a semi-truck driven by Michael Jayne , told police that Jayne was violent, paranoid and on meth before hit allegedly hit & killed a Santaquin police officer in early May, court documents indicate.could result in the death penalty.
Before officers made contact with Jayne in the early morning hours of May 5, he called emergency dispatch and said 'that someone was riding on the back of his truck and was being followed by the Hells Angels.' "The female reported Michael drove trucks for a living but his mailing address was out of Redding, California. Michael arranged for the female to fly out of Idaho to meet him in Arizona for a truck hauling job he was on. The female reported they made their way to California and then through Las Vegas where they did truck repairs on the morning of Saturday, May 4, 2024," wrote the detective, who said Jayne ingested methamphetamine at a truck stop.
According to the warrant, the woman found paper in the truck and wrote her name, "HELP ME" and "Michael Jayne Took me." The woman was able to escaped when an officer was speaking with Jayne as he was pulled over.
