ICAC tables its long-awaited report into Gladys Berejiklian’s conduct; NSW lower house speaker Greg Piper says it has made findings of corruption against two individuals. Follow updates here.
The commission that exposed Gladys Berejiklian’s secret love life at the peak of her popularity will deliver its report into the former NSW premier’s relationship with an ex-MP.
The commission’s inquiry began as a probe into possible corrupt conduct by Maguire but expanded to Berejiklian after she was compelled to reveal the relationship in public hearings in 2020. Even after the relationship was exposed, Berejiklian held onto widespread public support, with net approval ratings of more than 35 per cent.
