Travellers took to social media to share images of 'chaotic' queues near security on Thursday, February 20. It is understood that the delays were caused by a system issue with new security technology.
Glasgow Airport travellers have reported missing their flights this morning after a system issue caused long queues at security.
One traveller wrote: "We missed our flight by a matter of minutes. No signs highlighting length of time in queue, we were 1 hour 20 in queue! Shambles." A third added: "What is going on here , been through Glesga airport so many times and never seen this." Glasgow Airport apologised for the delays and said customers experienced a 'slightly longer than normal queue'. They added that the issue is currently being fixed.
