Glasgow boxing legend Willie Limond has died aged 45, St Andrew's Sporting Club have confirmed.Limond - a former EBU super featherweight, Commonwealth lightweight, Commonwealth super lightweight and British super lightweight champion - had been found unresponsive in his car.
St Andrew's Sporting Club confirmed on Monday that"legend" Limond - who boasted an impressive 42 wins from 48 bouts - had tragically passed away. Previous opponent Curtis Woodhouse - who Limond defeated for the Commonwealth Light-Welterweight and British light-welterweight title - paid tribute hailing the boxer as a"great fighter and a great man".
