Anyone who uses on-street parking or visitor vouchers in these areas of Glasgow will have to fork out more money from next month as significant increases come into force.
A number of Glasgow neighbourhoods in the west end of the city are set to see a 150 per cent rise in visitor voucher permits as parking charges shoot up.
One Partick resident told Glasgow Live: "This is a huge jump in cost and will hit us hard - it may not sound like much on paper, but jumping from £10 to £25 is ridiculous when you realise it's a 150% increase. "At a time when everyone is struggling to make ends meet, it's another blow from the council and more money out of pocket."And a new tariff for on-street parking means those paying at the meter will be hit, as prices go from 80 pence per 15 minutes to £1.
A spokesman for the council said: “Changes to parking rates have been agreed as part of a budget that required to find £107m worth savings from council services over the next three years.
