The grant will help to repair and modernise the charity's building.

G20 Works CIC has been given a grant of £24,484 from The Asda Foundation that will help to repair and modernise the group's building so it can follow its mission to enable young people who have experienced life trauma to have a safe space.

Emily Cutts, director of G20 Works CIC, said: “We are delighted to receive this funding from The Asda Foundation. After going unoccupied for a long time in a state of disrepair, our building has already undergone some work, so it is now usable and hosts a foodbank, women’s and men’s groups, and addiction recovery groups.

Ryan Rooney, Community Champion at Asda Maryhill, said: “It’s fantastic to be able to donate this huge amount of funding to G20 Works as they do so much for our local community, and we know the money will make a positive difference to people who need it most.” “Community spaces can be a lifeline, but we know many are in desperate need of funding to maintain, develop and repair these spaces to enable community groups to continue delivering their vital services and activities.
