Ajay will now face the judges alongside David in tomorrows episode at 8pm. It will be up to the Glasgow chef to prove to the judges that he deserves to cook for UK's athletes as they head to the Paris 2024 Games.
Ajay Kumar is through to face the judges in the next round of the BBC's Great British Menu as tensions flared between the Glasgow and Isle of Skye chefs.
Ajay had a strong day yesterday, starting day two on joint 16 points with Kevin. The Glasgow chef's main dish was called Olympia and was inspired by the torch and the traditional way to light it using the parabolic mirror. Going into pre-dessert, Ajay was in second place, with him producing a popular Indian street food dish inspired by Sir Chris Hoy called, Break at the velodrome. Tensions started to build when Calum started to rush Ajay, who was 30 seconds late presenting his dish.
