CHILDREN'S social care staff in Glasgow are to get a pay rise to a minimum of £12 per hour backdated from April 8.
IJB member Anne-Marie Monaghan said: “I think this is a welcome increase. “We have had an unfortunate anomaly between children services and adult services in the hourly rate of pay for a while now. “In practice, this will make a big difference. It means staff are more likely to stay with youngsters because of the rate of pay.”
An IJB report said: “The delivery of good health and social care outcomes is dependent on the quality of care delivered by providers with whom we contract.
