Members of the City Administration Committee formally accepted the award of over £6.8 million for 2024/25 at their meeting this morning.
More than £6.8 million has been granted to Glasgow City Council by Energy Efficient Scotland to help fund residential energy efficiency improvements.
This is the 12th year of Energy Efficient Scotland: Area Based Schemes programme which aims to tackle fuel poverty and improve energy efficiency by helping to make Scotland’s existing buildings near zero carbon by 2045 wherever possible.
During the meeting,councillor Soryia Siddique said: “I certainly welcome the funding to Glasgow. From memory historically there has been issues of uptake for this grant.
