An established Glasgow club has been left 'heartbroken' after being targeted in a shocking incident.
The team at Jeely Piece Club were devastated to discover their nursery garden had been vandalised over the weekend.The Castlemilk charity is a former Glasgow Times Community Champion and was set up 47 years ago to support people living in poverty.A spokesperson said:"Our children and staff are heartbroken to witness the vandalism in our Nursery garden which has taken place over the weekend.
"Only 1 month ago our garden was renovated by 20 volunteers from Santander and our Jeely staff who worked so hard putting in their time and effort to making our garden a colourful and exciting environment for our children. "Donations were used to purchase new garden furniture and resources which have been left damaged and broken.Founded in 1975, the Jeely Piece Club is dedicated to helping provide opportunities for both children and adults, keeping the community at the heart of its work.
All children are welcome, no matter their circumstances.
