The popular brunch spot is known for its baked goodies and Mediterranean-inspired brunch and lunch offering.

Owners took to social media on Monday to announce that they would be closing their Bearsden location"with a heavy heart"."We would like to send our love and appreciation to all of our wonderful customers who have supported us throughout the years and through a global pandemic.

"We are still around at 300 and GWR and will be launching a new venture in the Southside soon! Stay tuned!" The cafe operators have two other locations in the West End, one on Crow Road and one on Great Western Road. The new Southside Kothel opened up over the weekend in Battlefield with Saturday, April 29 marking its first official day in business.Kothel has been serving Glasgow since 2015.
