The contract will kick off in December.
A Yorkshire company has been handed a £1.56 million annual contract to deal with resident's food and garden waste in Glasgow.
The firm's remit includes collecting the material from the city's waste transfer stations and processing and treated the waste to "maximise recycling, and diversion of waste from energy recovery and landfill."
