Plans have been officially drafted up to transform Glasgow's Easterhouse into 'a vibrant place' by 2050.
The vision aims to inject investment and development into the area, which has 16 residential neighbourhoods. The Easterhouse SDS is one of six, with the other five in the city centre, Govan-Partick, the east end, Glasgow north and the River Clyde. The vision is described as seeing 'the residents of Greater Easterhouse achieve prosperity and a sense of well-being through inclusive economic growth and sustainable development'.The draft Greater Easterhouse SDF was informed by public consultation, with some of the issues raised through this including play areas, active travel and public transport.
