A delivery driver has admitted causing the death of a great-grandmother after he reversed over her in his van.The 80-year-old was dragged 10ft trapped underneath the Citroen Relay van as McShane tried to reverse the vehicle. She suffered catastrophic injuries including a fractured sternum, multiple broken ribs and lacerated lungs.After the collision, McShane desperately tried to perform CPR on Mrs Moffat after phoning 999 but when paramedics arrived at the scene she was pronounced dead.

It also found McShane was reversing at a 'reasonable speed' of around 5.5mph at the time of collision and passed all alcohol, drug and sight tests. McShane, of Moodiesburn, appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court and admitted causing death by careless driving. In a statement released via Digby Brown, Mrs Moffat's devastated family said: "Every day we feel the loss of our mother and while today's conviction is welcome it is not 'closure'."We now hope the sentencing will reflect what has happened to our family.Sheriff Gallacher said: "This was an unmitigated tragedy.
