Labour’s Paul Sweeney, who has been a Glasgow region MSP since 2021, is also fighting to represent the constituency. For the first time there will be a Reform candidate – Audrey Dempsey – who is currently a Springburn and Robroyston city councillor. The constituency includes Balornock, Haghill, Millton, Easterhouse, Robroyston, Springburn, Sighthill and Possilpark among other areas.

The following council wards make up the constituency: Canal Springburn and Robroyston North East Dennistoun Audrey Dempsey – Reform UK Josephine Macleod – Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party Ivan Mckee – Scottish National Party Nicholas Christopher Moohan – Scottish Liberal Democrats Kenneth Nwosu – Scottish Common Party Paul John Sweeney – Scottish Labour and Co-operative Party Among the issues impacting neighbourhoods, are social housing waiting lists, poverty, and lack of a secondary school in Milton while Springburn has the highest number of listed buildings at risk.
