The house will get an extra bedroom after councillors overturned a previous decision to deny the proposal.
Paul Duffy had applied for permission to erect the second story extension at the rear of the house in Baillieston to make way for a new bedroom.
Reasons for the council originally turning down the proposal included that the extension would have a detrimental impact on the privacy of a neighbour. It added: "There are several similar properties within this development that have already carried out this same extension."
