FOUR talented kickboxers from Glasgow have triumphed in the Junior World Championships in Turkey.

Madison, Kenzo, Maia and Sophie won an incredible eight medals between them at the Junior World ChampionshipsThe quartet returned home to Baillieston, where they are members of Bravehearts Martial Arts, with an astonishing SEVEN gold medals and one bronze.

Madison Brown, 12, Kenzo Cambridge, 12, Maia Bisley, 13 and Sophie Heron, 15 travelled to Istanbul earlier this month after being selected by Kickboxing GB to represent Britain among the best fighters in Europe.Coaches Iain O’Hare, Megan Brown and Melissa Brown are over the moon following the club’s success.“That is an incredible achievement. They were up against competitors who are the best in Europe, if not the world.

The coaches, who travelled with the students and were delighted to “support them every step of they way” said it was an inspirational trip.“The hard work, dedication and the overall will to win that these kids were able to show was nothing short of amazing. They are a true inspiration for all back home at the club.”
