Little visitors will get the chance to venture inside the stomach of the giant sea creature for summer holiday fun at Glasgow Fort on Wednesday, July 24, in a completely free event.

Children will soon be able to enter the belly of a friendly beast in the form of a huge life-sized whale which is coming to Glasgow Fort this week.

Once entered, the kids will be enticed with an interactive storytelling session all about the ocean and environment. The 25 minute sessions will run at 11am, 11.30am, 12pm, 1.30pm, 2pm, and 2.30pm, with the whale located opposite Argos.Phil Goodman, centre director at Glasgow Fort, said: "Sustainability is a key focus for us at Glasgow Fort. We champion biodiversity by planting a range of flowers and greenery to encourage pollination and have committed to sending zero waste to landfill since 2015 – recycling more than 6,000 tonnes in the process.

Its ambassadors will be at the event, providing free activity sheets to take home to keep the conversation going, including a scavenger hunt that educates little ones on the rubbish and wildlife found in rivers across Scotland.
