Saltmarket venue Bonjour is facing backdated rent payments from lockdown and rising energy bills.

A Glasgow club, events, and community space that caters to the LGBTQ+ community are facing closure over rising costs.

Bonjour has now launched an appeal for support from the public to help them get back on their feet and continue operating. In the meantime, they have opted to only open for events as the bar was struggling to make enough money. "Recently, financial factors have hit us hard. This week we reached a point where we can no longer manage these costs without taking action. Our co-op members are assessing all options to save the business. At present, we’re unsure about Bonjour’s future, and we’re facing the reality that we may have to close."
