Glasgow commuters are facing huge delays of almost an hour on the M8 this morning following a breakdown.
The breakdown occurred on the motorway's westbound carriageway in the east end at Junction 17. Drivers are now facing delays of approximately 52 minutes amid the incident. Traffic Scotland has warned motorists of the severe disruption following the breakdown in lane two of the motorway. A statement from the team reads: "Reports of a breakdown on the Westbound carriageway. Traffic is very slow in the area." They later added: "A breakdown in lane 2 in the roadworks area on the Westbound carriageway, is causing considerable congestion. Delays are approx. 52 mins."
