It’s easy to feel stuck for something to do on the weekends, especially with this summer’s weather disappointing us, but Glasgow has just been voted one of the funnest place to stay in the UK.
Glasgow has been named one of the 'funnest' cities in the UK after a new insight into cities across the country and what they have to offer.
Whether it's a last minute activity with friends or family, or a weekend stay in our city, Glasgow is the place to be with the city coming third out of 10 leading spots. As well as sitting in third place, it also sits in second place in Scotland with Edinburgh taking the top spot for the whole of the UK.Putting the list together, Betway analysed 30 of the UK’s most popular cities looking at metrics by considering factors such as the number of art galleries, theatres and museums per city as well as the number of nightclubs and comedy events per location.
Edinburgh isn’t the only Scottish city set to entertain the nation with Glasgow sitting within the top five offering a variety of opportunities to immerse yourself in cultural experiences boasting the second-highest ratio of galleries per capita and the fourth-highest number of theatres.
