Severe flooding at stations and on rail lines has caused travel chaos across the Greater Glasgow area today. An amber weather warning issued by the Met Office remains in place.
Glasgow ScotRail services will end earlier than planned tonight due to extreme flooding across the region.
ScotRail has now confirmed that services will be shut down early due to the conditions. They also warned also customers to expect significant disruption tomorrow as well. With so many trains and train crew out of place because of the extreme weather, and to ensure passenger and staff safety, ScotRail services in some parts of the country will wind down around 9pm tonight. Customers are urged to check the ScotRail website, app, or social media channels regularly for the latest information.
