Glasgow homes are currently without electricity following a power cut across the city. The cut is affecting those in the G11, G12, G13 and G41 postcode areas, as engineers rush to fix fault.
Homes in the G11, G12, G13 and G41 postcode areas were affected this morning, March 20, with engineers being alerted to the fault at around 9.46am.
SP Energy Network's control centre are working to restore electricity remotely, and are also sending engineers to the area to find and fix the fault as quickly and as safely as possible.READ MORE: Glasgow Greggs stores forced to close as technical issue halts paymentsPosting an updated message to their website, they wrote: "There is a power cut affecting the G11, G12, G13 and G41 postcode areas of Glasgow. We had no advance warning of this and first became aware of it at 9.46AM.
"Our control centre will attempt to restore your electricity supply remotely, and we will also send our next available engineers to the area to find and fix the fault as quickly and as safely as possible. We expect the power to be restored by 12.00PM."
