Darran Sullivan, Executive Warrant Officer on board HMS Glasgow, was recognised for his"outstanding" work at the historic Merchant Taylors’ Hall in London's Threadneedle Street.
Warrant Officer Sullivan was presented with a Merchant Taylors’ award by Harry Parshall, Master of the Merchant Taylors, for his work.From establishing the First of Class ship’s company to developing and recording the requirements and processes of bringing the 21st-century warship into service, Darran has worked on the Type 26 Global Combat Ship project over the past six years.
Darran's wife, Lisa, was also presented with a bouquet in recognition of the important role that families play in supporting military personnel.“It was also a great surprise to my wife, Lisa, when they presented her with flowers. "I thought it was a great gesture to acknowledge how vital families are in supporting us and the sacrifices that they undertake when we are away."
