One of the southside's hidden gems, the Old Toll Bar on Paisley Road West has confirmed they have taken over another bar in Govanhill and are delighted to be able to introduce their fans to it.
The team at the Old Toll Bar on Paisley Road West, widely considered one of the Southside's hidden gems, took to Instagram to confirm they have taken on the new venue, which they named Ryan's Bar.
They shared an image of the new spot, which appears to be the former Neeson's on the corner of Westmoreland and Allison Street, which has a fresh coat of paint and the new name painted in gold above the main door. Owner Mido Soliman and the team added: "Introducing our little brother to the family. This is Ryan’s Bar."We’re overjoyed to have opened up our new pub over in Govanhill, the paint job is underway."
They stated that the new bar will offers regular quizzes, traditional Irish and Scottish music sessions, and tastings, as well as "live DJ sets, cocktails and more". Local residents wished the team good luck, one wrote: "Good luck to you. Love the Old Toll sadly loved Neesons as well. It was so welcoming to all. Darts, pool table football, bingo.
