Tributes have been paid by the headteachers of two schoolboys who died in a horror crash on the M6. “A highly intelligent, caring boy with a brilliant sense of humour, Filip was particularly fond of his science subjects and aspired to go to university to study either architecture or science. Filip was always the first to help in a situation and it is now our turn to help and send our love to his family and friends at this heartbreaking time. We will do everything that we can to support the family and navigate our school community through this devastating situation.
Emergency services, including two air ambulances, raced to the incident northbound just past Tebay services in Cumbria after receiving reports of a head-on collision between a Skoda and a Toyota. She said: "We are heartbroken at the passing of our beloved angels. Filip was very intelligent, sensitive and full of love. We will never forget his smile, open arms, and the words 'tuli, tuli' . He was fascinated by computer games but also incredibly good at chess. He loved chemistry and dreamed of studying at the University of Glasgow.
He said: "His warmth, dedication and kindness are the characteristics of Jaroslaw that will stay with the team long after his passing. We send our most sincere and heartfelt condolences to his family, for which we know he was deeply devoted to. Jaroslaw, you will live in our hearts and minds forever."
