Concerns have been raised by a Baillieston councillor that too many people are struggling in the cost of living crisis

Glasgow schools should be encouraged to help families struggling with the cost of living crisis access financial support, a local councillor has said.

The Glasgow Helps team, which is designed to help find and access services that will improve people’s lives, will also receive funding to employ someone to provide housing advice and support.During the meeting, councillor Daly highlighted the important role schools had played in helping families get financial advice.

“The role of first sector organisations Greater Easterhouse Money Advice Project in this report is absolutely vital in working with schools to make sure that families who need it are getting the support they need .
