Strike action continues for the second day today, with schools across Scotland closing amid the pay dispute between the Scottish Negotiating Committee for Teachers (SNCT) and the Scottish Government.
Secondary schools in Glasgow are closed today as teachers take part in a second day of strike action across Scotland in a pay dispute.

"If that had been accepted, if the 5% had been accepted, you would've actually seen teachers have a 21.8% cumulative rise since 2018."
She said: "The employers' body knows, if teachers are paid more fairly for the work that they do, that will raise the aspirations of other workers too.
