Katarzyna Wojcik was convicted of serious sexual offences involving children at Lanark Sheriff Court and has been removed from the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) register. The SSSC deemed Wojcik's actions as 'premeditated and prolonged', raising significant concerns about her values and posing a high risk of harm to the public, particularly children.
A Glasgow social care worker has been struck off the register after she was convicted of serious sexual offences involving children.
As reported during the SSSC's Notice of Decision, offences detailed in Wojcik's conviction involve patterns of sexually abusive behaviour occurring over a period of three years. It was noted during the report that Wojcik's actions were "premeditated and prolonged". A section of the notice reads: "Social service workers, in whom the public and service users place their trust and confidence, are required to act in accordance with the law at all times.
"The offences detailed in your conviction involve patterns of sexually abusive behaviour occurring over three years. They raise serious and very significant concerns about your values. Repetition would put members of the public, most notably children, at a high risk of significant harm.
