She fled her home and took refuge in a Sainsbury's petrol station
Abdullah pushed her onto a bed with a knife before placing his arms around her neck.Abdullah pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to assaulting Miss Lamazoshvili to her injury and danger to her life.The pair had been out with the victim's friend before the couple returned to her flat.He then demanded that she call 999 before dialling the police himself."The victim began to cough and could not breathe, this lasted for five seconds before he let go.
The victim took the opportunity to flee the property and took refuge in a nearby Sainsbury's petrol station.She was seen to be barefoot, in a distressed state and crying. Abdullah left the property looking for her saying to police officers:"Are you looking for me? I'm looking for my girlfriend, she ran out the house, we had an argument."Haroun Malik, defending, will make his plea in mitigation at next month's sentencing.
