ScotRail has announced that it will be cutting fares on several train routes to encourage people to ditch their cars in a new Scottish Government-funded project.
ScotRail is carrying out a six-month trial which will see them introduce cheaper fares to encourage people to travel by rail instead of by car.
Some routes where no off-peak fare exists because the same price as traveling at any time of the day won't see a change.
