Eve Kilgariff, 23, preyed on the teenager, who she found to 'look older' according to prosecutors at Glasgow Sheriff Court , at a flat in the city between April and June 2022. The court heard Kilgariff and her victim had been watching a film when she struck.
She kissed the boy, repeatedly touching his thigh before having intercourse with him. Prosecutor Jessica McGowan told jurors in her closing speech: "She said in a police interview that she found him to look older than she thought he was. "She thought about and wanted to have sex with him. She did not recall if she had sex with him. The boy did not make it up - he had vivid memories that it happened."
The teenager stated that he did not disclose to his parents after the incident had taken place. The fiscal depute told the trial: "This is understandable at that age that he did not tell other adults that he was kissing and having sex with her." Kilgariff was found guilty by the jury to engaging in sexual activity with an older child. Kilgariff was remanded in custody pending background reports by Sheriff Joan Kerr who also put her on the sex offenders register meantime.Join Glasgow Live's WhatsApp community here and get the latest news sent straight to your messages.
