Kasia Pietrzak is still 'trying to come to terms' with her mum Krystyna's shock death less than two weeks after being diagnosed with bowel cancer.
A woman from the city's southside has opened up on her heartache after losing her mum to cancer within just two weeks of being diagnosed.
Her grief-stricken daughter, Kasia told of how it was too late for her mum to undergo treatment after she was diagnosed.READ MORE: Widow whose husband choked to death on false teeth in Paisley hospital begs for answers The challenge will see her swim 15km throughout August and raise money for the charity, in memory of her late mum.
Kasia, who started cold-water swimming last year and is now part of her local outdoor swimming group, added: "Those feelings led me to the charity, and I wanted to help them continue to support people who have been affected by the disease.
