Cassandra Joseph, who moved from London to Glasgow in March, was diagnosed with vulvar Crohn's, an extremely rare form of the disease, 20 years after she was told it could be a sexually transmitted disease.
A woman who has lived in pain everyday for most of her life has been diagnosed with an extremely rare disease.
A few years later she was seen and told by doctors in South Florida, where she grew up, that she may be suffering from a sexual transmitted disease. She told Glasgow Live: "I genuinely thought my body was normal. The symptoms for the rare disease I had started becoming noticeable when I was around 12. I have vulvar Crohn's disease, which is very, very rare. However, the 33-year-old's condition means the couple have been unable to explore their new surroundings due to the American being left house or bed ridden. The loving girlfriend sometimes feels sorry for Connor, 29, who lives with concern for her wellbeing."I can barely get up to use the bathroom, shower on my own, I also have seizures.
As an individual who has lived in a considerable amount of pain for all her life, the American is now determined more than ever to fight the horrendous diseases she struggles with daily making sure she can live her fairytale dream alongside her partner.
