Music and mud have gone hand in hand at Worthy Farm some years as Glastonbury Festival has been awash with wet weather
is as much defined by meteorology as the music and certain years have become as legendary for the mud as the performances.
Will it be a year of macs and wellies or shorts and sunnies for Glastonbury 2024? The outlook appears to be pretty optimistic with the prospect of mostly dry weather, “likely to turn increasingly warm as we move into next week” and may even turn “increasingly hot”. Some of the biggest acts, including Neil Young and Steve Winwood, cancelled as the weather took a turn for the worst and the Other Stage started to sink into the mud but festival-goers were undeterred.Rain again flooded the fields and turned the site into a mudbath but Blur, Primal Scream, and Robbie Williams played on.
