Festival organisers said the date change has been introduced for the sake of 'fairness'
Glastonbury Festival has announced it will push back ticket sales for next year's event by two weeks just hours before the first ones were supposed to go on sale.
It stressed that the change has been introduced due to "fairness". The first sale of coach tickets was due to take place at 6pm tonight, while the rest of the tickets were expected to go on sale this Sunday morning. Now, general tickets will go on sale at 9am on Sunday, November 19, while coach tickets will go on sale at 6pm on Thursday, November 16.
"These registrants were asked to take action to confirm their registration if they wished to keep it. As always, registration was then closed on Monday ahead of the ticket sale.
